Christopoulos Dimitris

Biography

Dimitris Christopoulos works as a philologist in Secondary Education and teaches Creative Writing at the University of Western Macedonia. He studied History and Archaeology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA) and pursued postgraduate studies in Creative Writing in Florina. He holds a PhD in Modern Greek Philology. He has authored three short story collections (Public Stories, Pigi, 2013, Study in Yellow, To Rodakio, 2018, and Twelfth of February, Potamos, 2024) and two novels (Tzindili, To Rodakio, 2020 and Come Play!, To Rodakio, 2023). Tzindili won the Special State Literary Award in 2021. His short stories have been included in collective volumes translated into Spanish and Italian. He participated as an anthologist in the short story collection by Sotiris Patatzis, O Anestos Seeks Happiness (Estia, 2023), and his studies are included in the volumes Christoforos Milionis: New Interpretative Approaches to his Prose (Aigokeros, 2023) and The Daily Memory: Contribution to the Study of Christoforos Milionis’ Prose (forthcoming). He edited the afterword in the reissue of Christoforos Milionis’ novel Akrokerania (Kihli, 2024).
