  • Familiarization of students with the writing code governing dramatic texts, as well as the elements of character, plot, language, and space-time, and how they are structured and interact with the conventions of theatrical performance during the creation of a play.
  • The uniqueness of dramatic texts compared to other literary genres and the fundamental principles of theatrical narratology, such as density, orality, and the reception of the performative text.
  • The concepts of the theatrical hero, dramatic and scenic space-time, and plot motifs.
  • Dramatic language as reflected in the idiolect of characters, theatrical dialogue, and stage rhythm.
  • Comparative analysis between theatrical plays and related textual forms, such as screenplays and theatrical adaptations.
