From Script to Screen
About this course
The goal of this course is to explore screenwriting through the various disciplines that contribute to the filmmaking process. The course is structured around a series of lectures and seminars led by industry professionals from different fields, including directors, cinematographers, editors, producers, sound designers, production designers, and actors. These sessions focus on how each profession interprets and translates the script into an audiovisual work.
Students will have the opportunity to observe different cinematic interpretations of their scripts, developing a critical understanding of the production process. Additionally, they will learn how to present their projects effectively within a specific timeframe and in a professional manner. This includes verbal pitching to peers, professors, and industry professionals, as well as crafting written proposals, summaries, and treatments.
